A bespoke Guild Mark is a professional accreditation awarded by a recognised furniture guild to honour exceptional craftsmanship, design, and technical execution in a one-off, custom-made piece. It represents one of the highest standards of recognition within the industry.

The Christopher Claxton Stevens Prize is an annual accolade presented by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishings industry. Established in 1989 in honour of Christopher Claxton Stevens-a former Master and Chairman of the Guild Mark Committee-the prize recognises the most outstanding piece of bespoke furniture awarded a Bespoke Guild Mark within the past 12 months.
